Halloween

October 27th, 2008 Togliatti-LINK English Language Friends Club took its start. The first meeting was dedicated to Hallowe’en, one of the most ancient and mysterious Celtic festivals. Hallowe’en originated in the British Isles long before Christianity had been brought in. It is said that on Hallowe’en night, ghosts and spirits can be seen. Well, let’s see how it all went this year in Togliatti.

Indeed, you should have been there! People scattered around the room, chatting and sharing their vivid impressions. Smiles never left the faces, and the first meeting of Togliatti-LINK English Language Friends Club was voted an absolute success.

The next time it will be Film Club Meeting, when the English Language Friends have an opportunity to watch a film in English (subtitled). What film is to be shown is still a secret, but it will not be long till you know.
